About Charlie Adler

Charlie Adler is a wine and food veteran with over twelve years experience in the industry as the founder of TasteDC, a 20,000 member food and wine organization based in Washington, D.C.  After attending or teaching over 1,000 wine classes, 200 cooking classes and many culinary events at various venues in the D.C. area, Charlie is at the crossroads of America’s fascination with the enjoyment of wine and food.  His motto “I Drink on the Job” began almost happenstance on a private culinary jet tour of Europe when he blurted it out for comic relief, and it has become his calling card to the wine industry ever since 2001.

Charlie loves to share his passion for food and wine, and is considered by many to be part of the American renaissance of all things culinary.  With Americans love of Food Network, the movie “Sideways” and the growth in the food and wine media, Charlie has set his sites on introducing more people to the pleasures of wine experiences through speaking engagements throughout the U.S. as well as site tours of various wine regions.  His aim the last twelve years has been simple: promote wine as part of a delicious meal.  To this end, Charlie is committed to providing the best in entertaining wine media with plans to author additional wine and food books as well as a series of audio CD’s.

Whether you’re a wine “newbie” who just wants to enjoy a nice bottle of wine, or you’re looking to hire Charlie as an engaging event speaker, feel free to contact him..oh and yes, he really does drink on the job – Cheers!
